Ten Top US Colleges 2011 by Forbes

The Forbes’s annual list of ten top US colleges 2011 has been recently released based on some major factors including teaching quality, great career prospects, graduation rates and low levels of debt. Williams College is proudly spotted No. 1 for the second year in a row.

 

Williams College

Established in 1973 in Williamstown, Massachusetts with funds from the estate of Ephraim Williams, Williams College peaks the list of ten top US colleges 2011 by Forbes for the second year in a row. Its total annual cost per student is $54,921 and its undergraduate population is 2,085.

Williams College was originally a men's college, and then became co-educational in 1970

 

Princeton University

Located in Princeton, New Jersey, United States, Princeton University is among nine Colonial Colleges founded before the American Revolution, providing graduate and undergraduate instruction in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and engineering.

Princeton University costs you $52,715 per year and its undergraduate population is 5,113

 

U.S. Military Academy (West Point)

Situated at West Point on scenic high ground overlooking the Hudson River, New York, the United States Military Academy, also known as West Point or Army, is a four-year coeducational federal service academy with its undergraduate population of 4,621.

The entire central campus of the academy is a national landmark and home to some historic sites, buildings and monuments

 

Amherst College

The private liberal arts college is situated in Amherst, Massachusetts, United States, providing 35 major programs in an unusually open curriculum. Besides, it is also an exclusively undergraduate four-year institution with the population of 1,744.

Haverford College

Situated in Haverford, Pennsylvania, United States, Haverford College is a private, coeducational liberal arts college, where all students are undergraduates. It is listed No. 9 among national liberal arts colleges by U.S. News and World Report.

University of Chicago

The private research university located in Chicago, Illinois, US, houses the largest university press in this country, University of Chicago Press. It consists of six professional schools and is home to several committees for interdisciplinary scholarship.

This accredited college provides officer candidates for the United States Air Force an undergraduate education. Its stated mission is “to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become officers of character, motivated to lead the United States Air Force in service to our nation.”
